FORMER Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr. Christopher Kolade, has advocated an all-inclusive approach to the fight against corruption. Kolade, who spoke recently at the signing ceremony of Guinness Nigeria Plc to The Convention on Business Integrity (CBi) in Lagos last week, charged corporate entities to imbibe good values, standards and discipline, if they must be part of the crusade against corruption.
“The task of making the Nigerian society a place of loftier standards and discipline must involve all who are in positions from which they can make viable inputs to the process and the journey.” The virus of corruption has eaten deep into most daily interactions that irregular behaviour has become the norm for many players in the Nigerian economy. Hence, it is important for individuals, enterprises and institutions to acknowledge the need for definite changes in the ways we operate and manage our business activities,” he said.
